CORINNE
Art studentThe girl who paints the aircrafts
Corinne joined “Her Art Here”, a competition that United Airlines dedicated to female artists. She is one of the two winners. “I wanted to create something that connects the people of New York and New Jersey”: her airplane displays the old Red Mill in Clinton, New Jersey, and the Statue of Liberty. Corinne’s airplane is already making its routes at 30,000 feet high. “I think that there’s only five or six other people in history who have painted an entire aircraft”.
“I wanted to pay an homage to one of the most beloved landmarks of New Jersey, but it also has something personal”. Before attending the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, Corinne was an art student at the Hunterdon Art Museum, just next to the old mill. “I remember so many classes sitting outside the school to draw it. Now I can say I’ve closed the circle”.
